Come and explore Ontario’s newest wine country with Travac this fall! Prince Edward County, otherwise known as “The County”, is a rural hotspot with over 40 wineries, a growing craft-beer scene, cider, fine spirits and fabulous farm-to-table cuisine.
Prince Edward County is also a cultural mosaic of early colonial Canada. Its earliest European settlers were loyalists traveling north from the American Colonies. These early settlers created a culture that remains magnetic to this very day. The simple, laid-back lifestyle that is found in the county still resonates through its hills, valleys and waterways.
Travac Tours wants you to follow the Taste Trail with us and discover some of the best food and drink in The County. We will be visiting during the region’s famed Countylicious event, which highlights Prince Edward County’s exceptional culinary landscape and local producers making farm-to-table fare with special menus.
This two-day, one-night escape includes an overnight in Picton, the largest community in Prince Edward County. Picton’s historic town centre, charming boutiques, and thriving arts scene make for a lovely overnight retreat.
Your holiday includes round-trip transportation by private motorcoach from Ottawa, 1 night at the Picton Harbour Inn, 5 tastings, 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and the services of a Travac Tours Director.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
This morning your adventure begins with boarding your private motorcoach at the Carlingwood Mall. On our way to Prince Edward County, we will make lunch and coffee stops enroute ($). Our first visit as we enter the county will be to Sugarbush Vineyards to taste their locally-made artisanal wines. After enjoying their offerings, we will continue on to Kinsip House of Fine Spirits, a farm distillery that specializes in “grain to glass” high-quality spirits; milling the grain they grow in-house to ferment, distil, and barrel age directly on the estate. After our visit, we will then head to our hotel for check-in. Tonight, we will enjoy an included 3-course dinner at Flame and Smith from their Countylicious festival menu. (D)
Overnight: Picton Harbor Inn
Day 2
This morning after enjoying breakfast and checking out of our hotel, we will travel to Waupoos Estate. A pioneering vineyard in the county, Waupoos will host us for a wine tasting, followed by a lunch from their specialty farm-to-table Countylicious menu on the grounds of their lovely estate. After lunch, we will enjoy a tasting from their selection of ciders. We will then make our way to Parsons Brewing Company for a tasting of their craft beers. After making the most of the brewery’s warm and rustic atmosphere, we will board our private motocoach to make our way back to Ottawa. On our way home we will stop for dinner ($). Your Travac Tours Director will advise you of your return time to Carlingwood Mall. (B, L)
