FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there pre-assigned seating on the bus?
A: No, seating is always on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: Where are the pick-up and drop-off locations?
A: Buses generally depart from the Westgate Shopping Centre at 1309 Carling Ave. in Ottawa. For most tours, pick-ups are available en-route in Kemptville, Prescott and Brockville.
Q: Do payments have to be made in person?
A: No, you can make both deposit and final payments over the phone using either Visa or MasterCard. Cheques can also be mailed to Travac Tours. However, if you choose such an option, ensure you include the tour you are taking and its date of departure.
Q: Can I leave my car at Westgate’s parking lot for the duration of my time away?
A: Cars can be parked at Westgate on request to the tour guide. The lot is not monitored and neither Travac or the Westgate Mall are responsible for any damages to the vehicle. There is not adequate security to ensure the safety of the vehicle or its contents. A signed waiver is required from the vehicle owner.
Q: Who takes Travac’s tours?
A: Our audience is very eclectic. The average age on any given tour ranges from 45 to 55. During holiday periods, younger audiences take our tours. Specific-interest tours may have slightly older audiences. Travac’s tours are popular with families, couples, and individuals alike.
Q: Does our tour include any meals?
A: Generally not. Travac tries to find hotels that are centrally-located in the destination city to provide you with several options for eating out.
Q: How much free time do we have?
A: This depends on the tour. Our getaway weekends to New York, for example, include orientation tours of the city. The rest of the time on the trip is at your leisure.
Q: How long is the drive?
