Travac Tours is pleased to announce that it will be offering another exceptional program this year at the Shaw Festival.
For our September departure, our first play will be Candida, the classic comedy by Bernard Shaw about a woman who must choose between her head and her heart when caught in a love triangle with her husband, a charming reverend, and the young man he found sleeping outside. Will she remain the lawfully wedded partner of a pastor, or become the paramour of a poet? Her choice may surprise you, but the story will most certainly delight you.
For our October departure, our first play will be Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Human Heart. Has Holmes finally met his match? Find out in this new play by Reginald Candy, which delves deeper into the lives of the legendary detective, his trusted confidant Watson and Mrs Hudson, the landlady of 221B Baker Street.
Our second play on both trips is the most beloved musical to ever hit the stage: My Fair Lady. This timeless classic has been dazzling audiences since its debut on Broadway in 1956. Based on the play Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw, it’s the story of Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl caught in the middle of a bet between Henry Higgins, a professor of phonetics and Colonel Pickering, a fellow linguist. With unforgettable songs such as “On the Street Where You Live,” “I Could Have Danced All Night” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?” My Fair Lady is one of the most beloved musicals of all time – and now it’s returning to The Shaw!

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
This morning you depart Westgate Shopping Centre for St Catherines. A rest stop will be made en route. Expect to arrive in St Catherines in late afternoon. Your Travac Tours Director will advise you of your departure time for your performance of “Candida” (September trip) or “Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Human Heart” (October trip).
Day 2
After breakfast, you will depart the hotel for drop off in Niagara-on-the-Lake or Niagara Falls for free time. After lunch, we will pick up Niagara Falls passengers with drop off in either Niagara-on-the-Lake or your hotel.
8:00pm – Performance of “My Fair Lady”.
Day 3
After breakfast you will check out and depart for Ottawa. We will make a washroom and a lunch stop enroute.
