Tour Itinerary

Day 1

This morning we will depart for Quebec City and the Tall Ship Festival.  Upon our arrival in Quebec City we will check into our hotel.  After unloading our luggage, we will embark on a short tour of Quebec City.  The balance of your day will be free. A shuttle will be available to make your first trip to the Tall Ships.

Day 2

There is no event in the world quite like it: the “Tall Ship Festival.” With 40 ships and a combined crew of over 3000 it is a spectacle that seldom visits the shores of Canada. Today you will be able to visit some of the ships and meet the crew.  Street performers, music and fireworks will all be part of the festivities at the Tall Ship Festival. Transfers will be available from the dock to your hotel.

Day 3

Often described as a beauty pageant on the sea some of the “superstar” tall ships  visiting Quebec City will be the U.S. Coast Guard’s Eagle, a cutter built by Nazi Germany and seized by the U.S. as a war prize. Germany’s graceful Alexander von Humboldt II, distinguished by 24 green sails and El Galeon, a replica of the Spanish galleons that for three centuries linked Asia, the Americas and Spain.

The Tall Ships will be setting sail today in a grand spectacle and you will have a chance to see them under full sail as they leave Quebec City.  The St. Lawrence gives you a perfect view of these “cathedrals of the sea”.

Day 4

There will be a bit of free time before we begin our journey back to Ottawa. Expect to arrive in the early evening.
