Arizona and Utah are home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world. These states’ magnificent red rock formations, their exotic desert life, and their dramatic canyons make Arizona and Utah a truly magical holiday destination. Beyond their dramatic landscapes, the confluence of the Native American and “the old west” heritage is also a compelling reason for a visit to this part of the southwest. Travac Tours wants to send you to Arizona – as well as its neighbours, Nevada and Utah – for twelve days of exploration, relaxation and excitement.  You’ll fly to Las Vegas to start your tour. You’ll visit Sedona, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Page, and Zion National Park. Your last stop will be in Phoenix.

Travac’s Arizona Tour includes return transfers from Ottawa to Montreal, airfare from Montreal, visits to Valley of Fire state park, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park in Utah, and the Grand Canyon, all accommodation and transportation, and a stop in the city of lights, Las Vegas!

Tour Itinerary


Day 1

Ottawa to Las Vegas

Today we will take a private coach from Ottawa to Montreal before boarding our flights from Montreal to Las Vegas. Upon arrival in Las Vegas, we will transfer to our hotel. The balance of your day is at leisure.

Overnight in Las Vegas.

Day 2

Valley of Fires State Park

This morning we will make our way to The Valley of Fires State Park. This, the oldest of Nevada’s state parks, derives its name from the red sandstone formations shaped by shifting sand dunes some 150 million years ago. There will be plenty of sightseeing opportunities and photo stops while in the park.

Day 3

Las Vegas

Today will be a free day to explore Las Vegas. Enjoy your time on the famous Las Vegas strip and all it has to offer. In the afternoon, there will be an option to visit the Hoover Dam.

Day 4

Las Vegas to Hurricane, Utah

This morning we will make our way to Zion National Park. This park is known for its spectacular cliff and canyon landscapes. Your overnight will be in the picturesque town Hurricane, Utah.

Day 5

Hurricane to Page, Arizona

Today we will visit Bryce Canyon.  Bryce Canyon is famous for its unique geology consisting of a series of horseshoe shaped amphitheaters, carved from erosion and rainfall. The canyon is tinted with colors too numerous and subtle to name. Its landscape provides some of the most exciting and memorable walks imaginable. (B)

Overnight will be in Page, Arizona.

Day 6

Antelope Canyon

Today we will be visiting Antelope Canyon. This canyon offers some of the most awe-inspiring views you will see on your trip-its spiral slots are what make it so picturesque. (B)

Day 7

Sedona

Today we will head to Sedona. Sedona has been referred to as one of the most beautiful places in America. It is characterized by its red sandstone formations. You will have ample time to explore this quaint town, which is also known for its artisan shopping. (B)

Day 8

Sedona to Flagstaff

This morning, we will be heading from Sedona to Flagstaff. After a few long days in the Canyons, your day is completely free to rest and to wander among the many sites. Your tour director will have plenty of ideas on how to spend your day. (B)

Day 9

Flagstaff to Grand Canyon

This morning we will visit the Grand Canyon’s southern rim. The Grand Canyon is arguably America’s most famous natural feature. With elevations more than 7,000 feet, your canyon visit to the south rim will offer you an unparalleled sightline of this breathtaking gorge. (B)

Day 10

Flagstaff to Phoenix

This morning we will head into Phoenix, the largest city in Arizona. Also known as the “Valley of the Sun,” Phoenix enjoys a subtropical desert climate, making it a most enjoyable city to spend time in. Once in Phoenix, we will have a tour of this magnificent city. In the afternoon, we will visit the Desert Botanical Gardens. These gardens host one of the finest collections of desert plants in the world. It is an opportunity to view 139 rare and endangered plant species from around the world. (B)

Day 11

Phoenix

Today your day is completely free to enjoy Phoenix. You will find museums, galleries, and shops within a short walk from your hotel. Your tour director will have plenty of ideas on how to spend your day. (B)

Day 12

Return to Canada

Today we will say goodbye to Phoenix and the southwest as we fly back to Montreal.  A private motor coach will pick us up at the airport to transfer us back to Ottawa.
