Paris in the Spring; There is no better time of year to enjoy lazy strolls along the Seine, museums dedicated to centuries of high art, and casual encounters on café terrasses… Paris is synonymous with fashion, with culture, and with romance, and people flock to the City of Light from all over the world to, if only for a brief spell, experience a taste of its casual elegance.
Travac Tours wants to take you to Paris for eight days of exciting exploration. You will have a chance to see all of the city’s famous cultural attractions, such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral, as well as sides of the city that you might not be familiar with. You will be awestruck by the city’s historic opulence during a day trip to the Palais de Versailles and relax on your cruise down the Seine.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Today we will depart Ottawa for Paris.
Day 2
This morning we land in Paris. After clearing customs, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in is not until 3:00pm. Your day will be free to explore Paris at your leisure.
Day 3
Today you are free to sample from Paris’ many museums, restaurants, shops, and attractions. You might want to use your included hop-on hop-off bus pass, which is valid for 24 hours.
Day 4
After breakfast we will depart on a tour to Versailles. The Palais de Versailles was commissioned by Louis XIV as the royal palace for the Bourbon monarchs. Its architecture, appointments, and Rococo extravagance makes it one of the most ornate residences in the world. After lunch on your own you will have free time to discover the garden of the Palace. In the early afternoon we will return to Paris and you will have more free time to explore the city.
Day 5
This morning, we will depart for a short walking tour of the old historic district of Paris. Remember to bring your comfortable walking shoes. The remainder of your afternoon will be free. You may want to utilize this time to enjoy your included boat cruise on the Seine.
Day 6
You will have all of today free to explore Paris at your own pace. You might wish to take the Metro to the Left Bank to discover the Latin Quarter’s narrow streets, eclectic art shops, and the Bohemian cafés of the 5e and 6e arrondissements; take a walk up the Champs-Elyssées to the Arc de Triomphe; or simply to stay closer to home in the Opéra District and shop the wonderful department stores along the Boulevard Haussmann. Paris’ tantalizing diversity offers something to suit all tastes.
Day 7
Today is another free day to sightsee at your own leisure. You may wish to visit the Louvre, the most visited art museum in the world. The Louvre is renowned for its collections of Renaissance and Neo-Classical art, featuring works by artists such as Rembrandt, Reubens, Titian, and David, and is the permanent home of Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Day 8
Today will be your final day in Paris, and you will have the day free to explore the city at your own leisure. Take this opportunity to visit corners of the city that you haven’t yet seen, or re-visit some of the favourite spots that you accumulated during your journey.
Day 9
Today we will return to Ottawa.
