Join Travac on September 13th as we journey to one of Canada’s top resorts. This 7-day holiday includes 1 night in Edmundston, 4 nights in St. Andrews, 1 night in Riviere-du-Loup, breakfast daily, day tours to Fredericton & Saint John, entrance fee to the Beaverbrook Museum and services of a Travac Tours Director.
This morning we begin our journey with a drive along the south shore of the St Lawrence and into New Brunswick. Our overnight will be in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
After breakfast, we will continue our journey to St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea and The Algonquin Resort. The drive is a relatively short one and we will arrive at the hotel early in the afternoon in time for you to relax and unwind in this elegant resort-hotel.
Fredericton is the capital of New Brunswick and is only a short drive from our resort. After breakfast, we will make our way to Fredericton where you will have time to stroll along the Saint John River and enjoy a leisurely lunch. We will also spend time at the Beaverbrook Museum, famous for its Canadian Art, before returning to the hotel. Travel time back to the hotel is approximately two hours.
Today is at your leisure. Your tour director will have options for your day or simply enjoy the comforts of the hotel.
This morning you will have a chance to discover Saint John. While here enjoy a walk through the charming streets of Uptown Saint John and step into a vibrant past with an intriguing modern edge. Here, hundreds of years of history are alive. You can feel it in the architecture, parks and galleries that have survived to delight today’s visitor. You may wish to visit a harbour side pub for lunch. We will return to the resort later in the afternoon. The journey is just over one hour.
After a leisurely breakfast and time to again enjoy The Algonquin, we will begin our journey home. Our stop for the evening will be in Riviere du Loup.
Today we return to Ottawa. You can expect to arrive in Ottawa in the late afternoon.
