Your holiday begins in Spain in the Costa del Sol region. This beautiful region of southern Spain is remarkable for its diverse landscapes, fabulous beaches and coastal sites as well as a wealth of small villages that dot the shore line. This Mediterranean coastline is one of Europe’s most popular holiday destinations, hosting tourists from around the world on an annual basis. Villages have grown into robust towns with great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. The area’s history dates back thousands of years and it has developed a unique and warm culture that defines the region. Whether this is your first visit to the Costa del Sol or you have enjoyed its pleasures in the past there is always something new to discover.
From Spain, you will be transferred to Albufeira in the Algarve region of Portugal where your holiday continues. The Algarve’s magnetic Moorish appeal has become a Mecca for snowbirds trying to escape the harsh reality of winter. It’s also one of Europe’s most picturesque and friendly holiday destinations. The Algarve is what most of us envision the Mediterranean to be. The whitewashed villages cascade into the sea. Cobblestoned streets are lined with outdoor cafes, bistros, wine bars, and markets full of fresh fruits and vegetables. The weather is wonderfully spring-like and invigorating.
During your time in both Spain and Portugal, you will be staying in apartment hotels with fully-equipped kitchenettes. Plenty of restaurants are also nearby to enjoy. Your vacation ends with two nights in historic Lisbon where you will have time to take in its many sights and vibrant culture before returning to Canada.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Canada
Today you will depart from Ottawa (Carlingwood Mall) to the Montreal airport by private motor coach with your Travac Tours Director. Upon arrival at the airport, your Travac Tours Director will help you with check-in for your flight to Malaga. Our office staff will be happy to give you more flight details
Day 2 - 14
Costa del Sol- Benalmadena
Upon arrival in Malaga, you will be transferred to your hotel in the Costa Del Sol. Your Travac Tours Director will assist you with check-in. The Sunset Beach Club is a beachfront property located in the popular holiday destination of Benalmadena. Accommodations consist of apartments offering either mountain views or sea views, all with their own balcony/terrace and small kitchen. The towns of Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Mijas and Marbella are all close by, as is the city of Málaga, and all can be easily reached by public transportation. You will also have the opportunity to visit some other highlights in the region including Seville, Cordoba, Granada and the jewel of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar should you choose ($). There are lovely local markets in each village of the Costa del Sol that operate on different days of the week. For independent travelers, car rentals can easily be arranged at the hotel for a charge. Your Travac Tours Director will assist you with optional tours ($) and activities throughout your stay. Details and costs of these tours will be presented to you on your second day in Spain. All costs for these optional tours must be paid locally and are fully non-refundable once paid.
Day 14 - 27
The Algarve- Albufeira
On day 14 you will be transferred from your hotel in Spain to your hotel in the Algarve region of Portugal. Upon arrival, your Travac Tours Director will assist you with check-in. The Solaqua by Navigator hotel is located in the village of Albufeira, within a short walk to its lovely old town and sandy beaches. Accommodations consist of apartments with pool or land views, all with their own balconies or terraces. Albufeira is a fantastic location for exploring the Algarve- you are close to lovely coastal villages, traditional Portuguese towns, relaxing wine regions, and spectacular beaches and waterfront scenery including the Algarve’s famed Benagil Caves. Your Travac Tours Director will assist you with optional tours ($) and activities throughout your stay. Details and costs of these tours will be presented to you on your second day in Portugal. All costs for these optional tours must be paid locally and are fully non-refundable once paid.
Day 27 - 29
Lisbon
On day 27 you will be transferred from your hotel in the Algarve to the vibrant city of Lisbon, where you will check into your hotel. During your time in Lisbon, your time is your own to discover the many sights and pleasures of this historical city. Your Travac Tours Director will have ample suggestions on how to make the most of your time in Lisbon.
Day 29
Return to Canada
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the Lisbon airport. Your Travac Tours Director will assist you with check-in for your flight to Montreal. Upon arrival in Montreal, you will be transferred back to Ottawa (Carlingwood Mall) by private motorcoach. Your Travac Tours Director will keep you informed of your estimated time of arrival.
