Quebec- Christmas Season in the Eastern Townships
The Christmas Season in the Eastern Townships is a magical time of year. Activated with an unmistakeable holiday spirit, this picture-perfect vacation will take you through the very best that the townships’ winter wonderland has to offer.
Join us as we visit “Bleu Lavande,” famous for its lavender and its wonderful gift shop. We will also stop at the Saint Benedict Abbey, overlooking Lake Memphremagog, known for its stunning architecture. We will then travel to Sherbrooke to partake in its Christmas experience at Marché de la Gare. Find a special gift made by local artisans, indulge in delicious local cuisine, and take in the authentic Christmas atmosphere and all it has to offer. We’ll also incorporate a visit to the wonderful Christmas exhibits at the Sherbrooke Historic Museum, enjoy a wine tasting at Le Cep d ’Argent vineyard, take in the region’s local Christmas markets, and drive through the area’s scintillating Christmas light “trail” made famous for its yearly Christmas light competition. Finally, we will make a stop in Valcourt to experience the Museum of Ingenuity’s interactive exhibit featuring the history of the Bombardier snowmobile.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1
This morning we will depart Westgate Mall for the Eastern Townships. Stops will be made enroute. In the Eastern Townships, your first stop will be in Magog where you will have free time for lunch and to enjoy the ambiance of the town. Later, we will depart for our visit to “Bleu Lavande” lavender farm before heading to the Benedict Abbey, then heading to our hotel, the deluxe Grand Times Hotel to check in. This evening you will have the chance to explore the signature Christmas experience at your leisure.
Day 2
Your first stop this morning will be at the Sherbrooke History Museum where you will have plenty of time to explore its many exhibits and enjoy its Christmas theme. Lunch will be on your own on Wellington Street where you will discover Sherbrooke’s delightful “elf hunt.” Your tour director will advise you of your departure time for your wine tasting.
Your afternoon will be free to enjoy the Christmas Markets or shop in the many stores that offer a variety of wonderful gift ideas. Dinner tonight is included. After dinner we will drive along the “Scintillating Trail” with its Christmas Lights Competition (B, D)
Day 3
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and make our way to Valcourt for our visit to the Bombardier Museum. Expect to arrive back in Ottawa at dinner time. (B)

Begin with Niagara Falls where you will experience the magic of Niagara’s winter while taking a coach tour through the Festival of Lights at night. Enjoy a free afternoon in Niagara-on-the-lake to explore and shop on your own OR purchase (at additional cost) theatre tickets for selected productions at the Shaw Festival. Then travel to St. Jacobs to experience its renowned Christmas market “St Jacobs Sparkles”, you will be immersed in a village enveloped in holiday spirit. Shop into the night amidst thousands of twinkling lights, indulge in delicious cuisine, stop by a local craft brewery, and enjoy the old-fashioned charm of St Jacobs and all that Sparkles has to offer.

Day 1
This morning you will depart Westgate Shopping Centre on your journey to Niagara Falls. A lunch stop and restroom stops will be made along the way. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon. You will have free time to shop, have dinner, and relax before reboarding the motor coach to enjoy the Festival of Lights which features light displays around Niagara Falls.
Overnight: Hilton Fallsview Casino and Hotel
Day 2
Enjoy your included breakfast at the hotel before checking out mid-morning. We will depart Niagara Falls and we will stop in the beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake for lunch and shopping ** ($) Optional theatre tickets are also available for selected matinee productions at the Shaw Festival, subject to availability. Matinee production of A Christmas Carol or White Christmas at 1:00pm. ** (Those who do not attend a play will be at their leisure in Niagara on the Lake for Approximately 2 hours.) Late afternoon, reboard the motor coach as we depart for St. Jacobs. After checking into your hotel, the evening is at your leisure. Enjoy St. Jacob’s holiday event “Sparkles” in the village of St. Jacobs.

Day 3
This morning enjoy your included breakfast at the hotel. Take some time to check out the local farmers market across the street from the hotel (Only open today 7am-3:30pm). Today will be at leisure to enjoy all St. Jacobs has to offer and the additional Sparkles holiday activities. We will have shuttles to St Jacobs village in the afternoon and evening.

Day 4
This morning you will make your way back to Ottawa. Expect to arrive mid-afternoon.

If you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, you won’t want to miss this classic holiday favourite. Two soldiers, returning home from a USO song-and-dance team fall for two sisters in another act. Together, they put on a show to save a Vermont inn. This musical never fails to please: you can’t help falling in love with the characters, the dancing and, of course, the singing, especially since the title song is Berlin’s most famous and most beloved.
